We're currently working with an impressive and award-winning architecture firm that specialises in creating distinctive architecture within the residential, commercial, mixed-use and hospitality sectors. They are currently expanding due to new projects and are looking for a Urban Designer / Masterplanner to join their team.
This position is for an experienced individual with 8+ years’ experience and local UAE project knowledge to join our clients' Dubai office where the successful individual will have the opportunity to work on interesting projects across wide-ranging sectors.

Urban Designer requirements:
- At least 8 years of experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, urban design, or related field
- Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, or other 3D modeling and visualization tools
- Strong graphic design skills and familiarity with visualization tools
- Ability to present design ideas convincingly
- Attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings and documentation
- Basic knowledge of architectural design principles, urban planning, and sustainable design
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Work effectively individually as well as part of a wider team
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills in urban design
Urban Designer responsibilities will include:
- Support senior urban designers in developing design concepts and strategies for urban spaces, including city centers, neighborhoods, public spaces, and streetscapes
- Assist in creating architectural drawings, 3D models, and visual presentations using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Conduct research and analysis on urban design principles, trends, and best practices. Gather and analyze data related to site context, land use, transportation, and environmental factors to inform design decisions
- Assist in preparing detailed architectural drawings, plans, and sections that illustrate design proposals
- Assist in coordinating project activities and communicating with stakeholders, such as clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Support the preparation of design presentations and visual materials to effectively communicate design proposals to clients, community groups, and other stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of compelling graphics, renderings, and digital presentations
- Conduct site visits and fieldwork to assess existing conditions, evaluate design opportunities and constraints, and gather information for design development
- Assist in site analysis, including the study of topography, infrastructure, and existing buildings
