Are you a Graduate Civil and / or Structural Engineer looking for work that can potentially offer hybrid working with future opportunities for long term growth in your career?
We are looking for such an individual to join our clients on a full-time basis in the wider Great Yarmouth area. They are ideally looking for someone with a minimum 1 – 2 years of engineering design experience from previous work in a consulting engineering office environment.
Local knowledge would be ideal but our clients would be open to those looking to relocate to the area.
Working hours:
- Some remote / flexible working is possible
- Monday to Friday 9.00 AM - 5.30 PM
The successful Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer will be offered:
- £25,000 - £35,000 Basic - depending on experience
- Annual performance bonuses
- Career progression towards professional membership status is offered and supported.

- 25 days holiday + bank holidays - additional holiday accrued based on a time served basis up to a maximum of 30 days

Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer requirements:
- MEng, BEng, BSc or other relevant structural engineering degree.
- Minimum 1 – 2 years of engineering design experience from previous work in a consulting engineering office environment.
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- 3D modelling experience would be advantageous
- A desire for career development and working towards professional membership with the ICE or IStructE.
- Design experience in steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry
- Roads and drainage design experience would be advantageous.
- Ability to work well as a part of a wider team, as well as, individually
- A full UK driving licence with access to own transport
Duties for the role of Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer will include but will not be limited to:
- Preparation of basic structural analysis and design calculations by hand and through use of structural engineering software.
- Preparation of project design summary drawings and specifications using AutoCAD software
