We have an exciting and rare new opportunity for an experienced Architect to join an award-winning consultancy firm in West Yorkshire as an Associate Director / Senior Associate Director.
This position will see the successful individual not only lead/manage projects but also have the rare opportunity to build a department.
Working hours:
- 8.30 am – 5.30 pm
- Monday to Friday
The successful Associate Director position will be offered:
- Up to £60,000 Basic

Associate Director requirements:
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team of professionals.
- Experience in business development and client relationship management is a plus
- Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- UK driving license and access to own car
- Live within a commutable distance of Wakefield
Main duties for this Associate Director position will include but will not be limited to:
- Lead the design and development of architectural projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with client goals and industry standards.
- Manage, mentor and develop a team of architects and designers
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their vision and requirements, translating these into innovative design solutions that meet functional and aesthetic needs.
- Conduct regular site visits and meetings to monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to design specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants to facilitate smooth project execution and enhance client satisfaction.
- Prepare and present design proposals and project updates to clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating ideas and gaining buy-in.
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, participating in proposal writing, and representing the firm at industry events.
